Lent 2102

With Ash Wednesday
we begin the Lenten season on February 22.

From dust we came and unto dust
we shall return.

Ashes on our foreheads
symbolize our mortality;
It signifies our nothingness
before the Almighty.
It also is a sign of our repentance
and readiness for penance.

Prayer, fasting and alms giving
are part and parcel  of Lent.

I invite our parishioners
to attend the daily masses on
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30 pm.
I invite you to participate in the
Stations of the cross
every Friday at 7 pm.
I invite you for the sacrament
of reconciliation often.

Lent is a holy season
And it requires us to become holy
By being open to the grace of God
and be filled by His Holy Spirit.
